I think the scale of this new platform has an interesting impact on content. The three components of the API (my profile, my friends, and my activities) suggests that this platform will facilitate content to be consumed, where the content is the people. On the utilitarian end, this can keep existing connections fresh and possibly could lead to new connections. On the other hand, many many people will be watching each other for entertainment. Like those TV shows where people watch ordinary people living together for the sake of the TV show.
